GGL Security announces John Delaney as Director of Technology
GGL Security has announced the appointment of John Delaney as Director of Technology. John is a former member of An Garda Siochana (Irish Police force) with 30 years’ security service where he was Head of Communications & Technology for the Western Seaboard Region.
John, a qualified Electronic Engineer, has extensive experience in security architecture and project management having worked and led significant state projects including several major citywide regional CCTV installation programs supporting policing and security infrastructure, the implementation and rollout of the TETRA Digital Radio Program for the west of Ireland, the security design and fit out of the central Garda Training College in Ireland along with technical investigative support to multiple high profile state prosecution cases. At state level, John has provided technical support to, and partnered with, international governmental agencies in the protection of presidential and royal visits to Ireland.
John manages GGL’s technology driven International Monitoring Centre and is point lead on several international projects from design phase through to commissioning. Security project management begins at the conceptual stage and runs through design, specifications (hardware, software, power, data), operating system development, tendering, supplier selection, ground works, commissioning, training, supplier management, SLA implementation and finally future support services.
